Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan
Not long after Christian goes through the Slough of Despond, he encounters Mr. Worldly Wiseman who counsels him to take a shortcut to getting his burden removed. His advice was to go up a steep mountain to the house of Mr. Legality, who lived in the city of Morality. This journey proved perilous to Christian who is finally encountered by Evangelist and instructed to return to the way God’s Word directed.
