Life in Christ by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones
Jones gets into the mechanics of our verse today, which is a good reminder of what it looks like to conduct deep Bible study. Things like asking the text questions, comparing Scripture with cross-references from itself, and connecting every verse with the context and flow are important Bible study techniques. The main takeaway is the importance of living by faith and loving God because of His love for us. That will produce the love for the brethren that is emphasized here.
Next week we will be discussing the reading from volume 4, chapter 7 of “Life in Christ” by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones (pages 463-472).
